Black silicon carbide is a kind of ceramic material prepared by high temperature reaction, its production process mainly includes the following steps:

Preparation of raw materials: mix silica powder and toner evenly in a certain proportion to prepare the raw material mixture of black silicon carbide.

Press forming: A material mixture is pressed into a mold to form a brick or device in the desired shape.

Carbonization reaction: The pressed brick or device into a high temperature furnace for carbonization reaction, reaction temperature is usually more than 2000℃, reaction time several hours to dozens of hours.

Heat treatment: The products after the carbonization reaction are heat treated to improve their physical and chemical properties.

Finished product processing: fine processing of black silicon carbide after heat treatment, manufacturing into various types of cutting tools, abrasives, high temperature stoves, electronic components, high pressure seals, chemical equipment, acid and alkali resistant materials, radiators, high-speed electronic components, mechanical seals and bearings.
Black silicon carbide production process needs high temperature and high pressure conditions, but also needs strict quality control, to ensure its quality and stability.
