DESCRIPTION
Graphitization of petroleum coke is to put petroleum coke in a graphitization furnace, after about 3000 degrees of high temperature to make the amorphous chaotic structure of petroleum coke carbon crystals into hexagonal lamellar structure of crystalline carbon, that is, petroleum coke into graphite. This process is called graphitisation and the petroleum coke treated by the graphitisation process is called graphitised petroleum coke, commonly known as “graphitised coke”.
