DESCRIPTION

Graphitized petroleum coke (GPC) is a high-quality material used in the production of refractory materials. It is made by heating petroleum coke to very high temperatures (above 2500°C), which graphitizes the carbon structure in the coke and produces a material with high carbon purity and excellent thermal conductivity.

Refractory materials are used in a wide range of industries, such as steel production, cement manufacturing, and glassmaking. They are manufactured from materials that can withstand high temperatures and harsh chemical environments. GPC is an ideal material for making refractory products because of its excellent thermal conductivity, low thermal expansion, and high carbon purity.

Some of the refractory products that can be made with GPC include:

1. Brick and block refractories: These are used to line furnaces, kilns, and other high-temperature equipment. GPC is added to the raw materials to improve their thermal conductivity and reduce their thermal expansion.

2. Ramming materials: These are used to create monolithic linings in furnaces and other equipment. GPC is added to the mix to improve the material’s thermal conductivity and resistance to thermal shock.

3. Gunning mixes: These are used to repair and maintain the lining of furnaces and other equipment. GPC is added to the mix to improve its thermal conductivity and bonding strength.
