DESCRIPTION
Graphite Petroleum Coke (GPC) is commonly used as a carbon additive in the casting industry to enhance the performance and quality of castings. GPC is a byproduct of petroleum refining and has a high carbon content, low ash content, and low sulfur content, making it an ideal carbon additive for the casting industry.
Adding GPC to the molten metal during the casting process helps to improve the metal’s properties, such as strength, ductility, and hardness. It also reduces the formation of defects, such as porosity and shrinkage, in the final castings.
