Calcined Petroleum Coke (CPC) is a solid fuel with high calorific value, which is the product obtained after high-temperature treatment of petroleum coke. Petroleum coke is a black solid fuel, which is a by-product of oil refinery processing. It is mainly composed of carbon elements and has the characteristics of high calorific value, low ash, low volatile matter, and high purity.
Calcined petroleum coke is to calcine petroleum coke at high temperature (usually above 1200°C) to remove volatile matter and other impurities and improve its purity and calorific value. During the calcination process, petroleum coke will undergo chemical changes, and the volatile matter and impurities such as sulfur and nitrogen will be gradually decomposed and burned.
