DESCRIPTION

Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) is a high-quality carbon material produced by calcining green petroleum coke. CPC is widely used in the aluminum industry, steel industry, and other industries. Recently, CPC has been successfully used in power plants as a fuel source.

One of the advantages of using CPC in power plants is its high heating value, which can result in lower fuel consumption and reduced emissions. CPC has a higher heating value compared to other fossil fuels like coal, natural gas, and diesel. This means that for the same amount of energy, less CPC is required, which leads to lower emissions and reduced fuel costs.

Furthermore, CPC has a good carbon balance, which means that it does not emit additional carbon into the atmosphere. This is because the carbon in CPC is derived from petroleum coke, which is a byproduct of oil refining.

In addition, CPC has a low ash content, which minimizes the formation of ash deposits in the boiler, reducing maintenance and cleaning costs. Another advantage of using CPC is its low sulfur content, which reduces SOx emissions, contributing to a cleaner environment.
