Calcined petroleum coke (CPC) is a high-quality carbon material produced from calcining green petroleum coke. CPC is used in various industrial applications, including aluminum production, steel-making, and specialty chemicals. It is also used extensively as a fuel in power generation plants, particularly in coal-fired power plants that require a high carbon content fuel to maintain their efficiency.
CPC is an excellent fuel for power generation because of its high calorific value, low ash content, and low sulfur content. It burns cleanly and produces less emissions compared to other fossil fuels. Its high carbon content makes it an excellent substitute for coal, reducing the dependence on fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions.
