DESCRIPTION
Silicon metal (symbol Si), in its pure form, is a grey metallically lustrous metalloid element. Metallurgical grade silicon is known as silicon metal because of its lustrous appearance. The alloy of iron and silicon is produced using a submerged electric arc furnace via reduction smelting.
Silicon Metal lump was produced in electric heating furnace by quartz and coke. Quartz will be redox and became molten silicon liquid. After cooling, it will be solid as we see. The primal silicon metal lump is very large.
