DESCRIPTION
Silicon metal also called crystalline silicon or industrial silicon is mainly used as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. Metallic silicon has a high melting point, good heat resistance, high electrical resistivity, and ultra-high oxidation resistance. Si metal is a product smelted from quartz and coke in an electric furnace. The main component is Silicon, other impurities are iron, aluminum, calcium, etc. According to the content of Fe, Al and Ca in silicon metal be divided into many different grades, like 553, 441, 3303, 3305, 2202, etc.
