DESCRIPTION
Silicon metal has a very high resistivity. Resistivity is an indicator that describes the electrical conductivity of a material. It represents the resistance value of a material per unit length. For insulating materials, higher resistivity means better insulation performance. Silicon has a very high resistivity of about 10^6 Ω·cm, which makes it an excellent insulating material. In high-voltage insulated cables, silicon can be used as cable bushing and insulating layer material, which can effectively protect the conductor inside the cable from external interference and damage.
Silicon metal has good heat and corrosion resistance. High-voltage insulated cables usually need to operate in extreme environments, such as high temperature, high humidity, and chemical corrosion. The chemical structure of siliconis stable, not easily affected by oxidation, acid and alkali factors, so it has excellent corrosion resistance. At the same time, the melting point of silicon is higher, which can reach about 1414℃, so it has better heat resistance. In high voltage insulated cables, silicon can be used as the outer protective material, which can effectively prevent the cable from being damaged by the external environment.
