DESCRIPTION
Silicon metal 441 is a product smelted by quartz and coke in an electric furnace, the main component is about 98% silicon element, and the remaining impurities are iron, aluminum, calcium, etc. The main use of silicon metal is as an additive for non-ferrous alloys. The properties of silicon metal are similar to germanium, lead and tin, and have semiconductor properties; Insoluble in acid at room temperature, soluble in alkali.
