DESCRIPTION

Ferrovanadium (FeV) is an alloy formed by combining iron and vanadium with a vanadium content range of 35–85%. Vanadium alloys are used to strengthen specialty steels for use in niche and high-end applications. It is also used in the production of vanadium redox batteries.

  • Ferrovanadium is a universal hardener, strengthener and anti-corrosive additive.
  • Vanadium pentoxide (V2O5 ) is used as a catalyst in manufacturing sulphuric acid.
  • The content of vanadium in ferro vanadium varies from 45 to 50% upto 80%.
