DESCRIPTION
Ferrosilicon is an indispensable deoxidizer in steelmaking industry. Adding a certain amount of silicon to steel can significantly improve the strength, hardness and elasticity of steel, so in the smelting of structural steel, tool steel, spring steel and other steel, a certain amount of ferrosilicon must be added as alloying agent. Silicon also has the characteristics of larger than resistance, poor thermal conductivity and strong magnetic conductivity, so in the smelting of silicon steel, ferrosilicon is an indispensable alloying agent.
In addition, ferrosilicon powder is often used as heating agent for pouring ingot in steelmaking production to improve the quality of ingot and the recovery rate of molten steel by taking advantage of the fact that ferrosilicon powder emits a lot of heat when it is burned at high temperature.
