DESCRIPTION
Ferro Silicon 75% FeSi 72% is used as a source of silicon to reduce metals from their oxides and to deoxidize steel and other ferro alloys. Ferrosilicon is also used for manufacture of silicon, corrosion-resistant and high-temperature resistant ferrous silicon alloys, and silicon steel for electromotors and transformer cores. There are many practical applications of Ferro Silicon to include carbon steel and stainless steel production, and when using the Pidgeon process to produce magnesium from dolomite.
