Ferrosilicon FeSi72 is an alloy made of iron (Fe) and silicon (Si) with a silicon content of approximately 72%. It is produced by smelting a mixture of iron and silicon in an electric arc furnace. Ferrosilicon FeSi72 is commonly used as a deoxidizer and alloying agent in the production of steel and cast iron. It is also used in the manufacturing of other alloys, such as magnesium alloys, and as a reducing agent in various chemical processes. Additionally, ferrosilicon FeSi72 can be used as a medium to control the viscosity of molten metal in the metallurgical industry.
