DESCRIPTION
75 ferrosilicon is commonly used in the high temperature smelting of metallic magnesium in the pidgeon process. When magnesium in Mgo is replaced, about 1.2 tons of ferrosilicon is consumed for every ton of magnesium produced, which plays an important role in magnesium production.
