The manufacturing process of Ferro Silicon mainly includes the mineral processing of ferrosilicon ore, the ratio of charge, the pretreatment of charge, the smelting of charge, the treatment of slag, the casting of alloy, the cooling, the separation, the packaging and so on. The specific steps are as follows:
Beneficiation of ferrosilicon ore: The ore containing sufficient iron and silicon content is selected from ferrosilicon ore.
Ratio of charge: the selected ferrosilicon ore and other charge in accordance with a certain proportion of mixing.
Pretreatment of charge: the mixed charge is crushed, screened, dried and other processes.
Smelting of the charge: Put the pre-treated charge into the high temperature electric furnace for smelting, so that it reaches the melting point and forms alloy.
Slag treatment: The generated slag is treated to remove impurities and harmful substances.
Alloy casting: Casting molten alloy into blocks.
Cooling: Cooling the cast alloy to bring its temperature down to room temperature.
Sorting: The cooling alloy is sorted into different specifications of products.
