DESCRIPTION
Ferrosilicon is an alloy of iron and silicon with a typical silicon content between 15% and 90%. It is primarily used as a deoxidizer and an alloying agent in the production of steel and cast iron. Ferrosilicon is also used in the manufacturing of other alloys, such as magnesium ferrosilicon and silicon manganese.
The manufacturing process of Ferrosilicon involves the reduction of quartz or sand with coke or coal in the presence of iron. The reaction takes place in an electric arc furnace, and the resulting Ferrosilicon is then crushed and screened to the desired size.
ZhenAn produce and supply Ferrosilicon in different grades and sizes, depending on the specific requirements of their customers.
