DESCRIPTION
Ferrosilicon is an iron alloy composed of iron and silicon. Ferro silicon is an important inoculant and nodulizer in ductile iron production. Because adding a certain amount of silicon in casting iron, can prevent steel form carbide and promote precipitation and nodulizing of graphite. Ferro silicon is a common reductant used in low-carbon ferroalloy production in ferroalloy.
