Ferrosilicon is an indispensable deoxidizer in the steelmaking industry. In steelmaking, ferrosilicon is used for precipitation deoxidation and diffusion deoxidation. Brick iron is also used in steelmaking as an alloying agent.Used as an inoculant and a nodularizer in the cast iron industry. In the production of ductile iron, ferrosilicon is an important inoculant (helping to precipitate graphite) and nodularizing agent.
