DESCRIPTION
In steelmaking, used as deoxidizer and alloy additive, is the most used iron alloy. The manganese ore used in smelting ferromanganese is generally required to contain 30~40% manganese, the ferromanganese ratio is greater than 7, and the phosphorus-manganese ratio is less than 0.003. Before smelting, manganese carbonate ore needs to be roasted, and powder ore needs to be sintered into blocks. The ore with high iron and phosphorus content can only be used in combination, or the rich manganese slag with low iron and low phosphorus can be obtained by selective reduction smelting. Smelting with coke as reducing agent, some plants also with lean coal or anthracite. Auxiliary raw material is mainly lime, smelting manganese silicon alloy generally with silica. Main classification: high carbon ferromanganese (containing carbon 7%), medium carbon ferromanganese (containing carbon 1.0~1.5%), low carbon ferromanganese (containing carbon 0.5%), manganese metal, mirror iron, silicon manganese alloy.
