High-carbon ferromanganese or manganese alloys are used as reducing agents in the production of low-carbon ferroalloys in the ferroalloy industry. High-carbon ferromanganese in electric furnace is mainly used as deoxidizer, desulfurizer and alloy additive in steelmaking. In addition, with the development of production technology of medium and low carbon ferromanganese, high-carbon ferromanganese can also be used in the production of medium and low carbon ferromanganese.
